How does it work?
The first two hours are what we call “auditions”. Basically anyone who wants to try and compete for the cash can get up and sing a song during this portion of the show. We will even provide them with a monitor screen and background vocals if desired. At this time the crowd is evaluating who belongs in the show; they will help determine our contestants and eventually the winners.
When it comes to showtime; the singers are all on their own! We take away the monitor, we take the background vocals out and it’s time for them to shine! Their chance to perform and compete in a professionally produced show.
Also, notice as you look at the pictures of the sets, see how they are also the schools colors. We can color coordinate our set to your school as well, just let us know.
The show
Once we have all of the applicants for the finals, we will begin the “talent” portion of the show. We randomly choose 10 contestants, from the pool of audition singers and one wildcard who will be selected by the audience.
We will introduce our singers and give them the chance to sing two minutes of their chosen song. At the conclusion our judges, Randy, Paula and the famously unpopular Simon, will evaluate their performance (Of course they are not the real celebrities but ones of your schools choosing to represent those characters.) and determine who goes forward.
After three rounds of singing we will have narrowed the field down to our two finalists. They strut their stuff and the crowd selects the winner
Prizes!
$250 Cash to whomever the audience deems the winner. And of course the title of being the most talented person on campus!
